Grape Seed Extract is a rich source of procyanidolic oligomers (PCO’s), a group of flavonoids displaying remarkable health-promoting effects. Clinical studies have shown positive results using PCO’s in the treatment of venous and capillary disorders including venous insufficiency, varicose veins, capillary fragility and disorders of the retina including diabetic retinopathy. Additionally, PCO’s have been shown in animal studies to lower blood cholesterol levels and shrink the size of cholesterol deposits in the arteries. |
